The property "Alto da Praia" is a heritage of the Foundation "Cuidar o Futuro", a foundation conceived by Eng.ª Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo, the only woman prime minister in Portugal and a recognized thinker of international renown. Inspired by the philosophy of the "Culture and Ethics of Care", the foundation seeks to take as fundamental elements of reference human rights and dignity, cultural values, socio-economic conditions and the survival of the planet, based on the deepening of the concept of Quality of Life. In a family environment, information is provided on restaurants, bars, markets, as well as existing public transport, sightseeing, sports and outdoor activities.
